Linforus 1.0 Installation Guide

First, download Linforus 1.0 from our download page, After that burn it into a DVD using burning tools like k3b, brasero, nero or etc.

Restart your computer after burn it with the DVD remains in your dvd-rom, adjust your computer to build from CD/DVD ( either in bios or change boot settings in laptop when start up ), you will see a screen that prompt for language, choose english ( the default language as Linforus currently supports English and Chinese only ). Choose the first option ( Try Linforus without any change to your computer ).

It takes around 1 or 2 mintues to boot into desktop environment depends on your computer's speed. Click on Install on the desktop and you will see the installation window below.

For most of the cases choosing english is fine. Click next.

Choose your timezone at this step, after that, click next

You can choose your keyboard layout at this step. If you are not sure what keyboard layout your keyboard is, choosing the default option is fine cause most of the keyboard are US keyboard type. Click next

You need to specify which partition to install Linforus in this step. Don't choose second option except you install Linforus in an empty harddisk. Choose the manual option if you really know what you are doing!

Fill in your real name, username and password here. Please remember the password you have entered.

This is the last chance for you to review all your settings before installation. Please double check all your settings like partition setup, username, password and etc before proceeding to the next step. Click install if all your settings are verified correct.

The installation process starts and it takes around 15 minutes depends on your computer's speed.

You can choose continue using this Live DVD or reboot when Linforus completely installed.
